@Soundbrigade Thanks, I might check Aliexpress for some of the less quality dependent components like jacks. Sadly due to were I live I have to get basically anything electronic shipped in anyways so not to concerned with local shops here
When ordering jacks off aliexpress make sure they fit your footprint. I’ve accidentally ordered jacks before that had ridiculously large pins that won’t fit in any PCB i’ve ever gotten.
Also i guess be prepared to “make things work” even if they dont fit well or whatever lol. Dont sweat a bodge if it works!
@Toobman Alpha pots are great, but if you find them expensive source where you can.
Im not sure because i haven’t ordered from them or any parts for a long time, absolutely not during this mess. I have to figure Tayda is still the best option even with tariffs.
If you are after chips, that may be another thing. Like, if you need the 3340 vco chips etc.
I’m based in California and I’m having a hard time sourcing dry film solder resist over here. The stuff that comes in sheets. I had no luck with the ink version, it often fails to stick where I want and looks terrible even when it does!
I’m looking for something like the Dynamask 5000 range, or similar. If anyone knows if it’s available in the US let me know. I can see it’s available in Europe but the tariffs (actually the charges for processing the tariffs + almost $30) make it somewhat uneconomical to order ![]()
Thanks!
I thought you have to be from germany cause your name… It tells the german reader “nie geld” (the e is coming automatically in a germans brain) and says “never money”
Thats the way brains work ![]()
That’s funny
I’m originally from the UK and my name is a very English name ‘Nigel’, the ‘d’ at the end I just add from my surname.
