I’m just wildly guessing. By “English bus” do you mean a double decker?
Got a Mouser order in… anyone need some SMD tl074’s?
I notice that the French Wikipedia article appears to say the double-decker aka “imperial bus” was invented in France, while the English one says it was invented in England. I checked a few more articles, but they only listed where they’re used, so much less entertaining.
I think I already have some I can’t use…
yes that was my idea, i didn’t know that his name was a Double decker, i made a french/english traduction word by word.
Sad: Connecting the tuning pots on your VCO backwards
Really sad: Not noticing until two days later
ALIEXPRESS SENT ME 557s INSTEAD OF 2N904S AND I DIDNT CHECK THE PINOUTS AND USED THEM ANYWAY, TURNS OUT THEY’RE BACKARDS AND I USED THEM EVERYWHERE GOD FUCKING DAMMIT
I tried to use my phone to record music on synthizer, what I didn’t think about was it would record itself too. What a mess. Every tone is doubled or tribled, but the worst thing is the slight delay. What I get for being absolute cheap skate and not thinking things through.
Still better than the synthizer, since I still haven’t found a way to record bass and rythm(gonna love when old advanced things don’t have a manual).I feel like I am vandalizing it slowly, because I am (mentally 5 year old) child trying every button, and smashing random keys for fun.
But thats this hobby though.
Maybe you can turn down the media volume? That is, if you dont like the doubling.
My drone worked! For… one second. Then it developed a very… hot… smell…
True, it is the hobby, hahah.
Is there a dumbassery badge we get for posting in this thread?
I was so proud of myself for getting my first set of SMT components on my board for an STM32 Nucleo based ADSR generator project I’m working on:
But… finished it up and plugged it and blew up a Nucleo board… what?!
Double checked all the power/ground connections, no shorts, nothing weird happening there - checked the rest of the circuit - weirdness from the STM32 DAC out to the S&H chips.
Turns out, I’d breadboarded this thing with LF398s in DIP8 and drew up the schematic from that. But as I was laying out the board, to try and get clever and keep size down I switched the footprint to SOIC14.
Don’t really know what I was expecting - the TL074 DIP and SOIC have the same pin out, but it’s not the case for the LF398. What I ended up with was the DAC pin of the nucleo connected to the -ve supply pin of the three S&H ICs - things get hot and then - bang - no more nucleo.
So there you have it, my entry into the hall of dumbassery. It’s not the first time, and I doubt it’ll be the last.
When you think you’re sly and buy 100 jacks from tayda to save money. The nuts and washers aren’t installed…
because you don’t get any nuts or washers…
ah nutz !
post must be blah,blah,blah …
Contact their customer support. They have helped me in the past.
Yes, that’s an error, I got the nuts and washers every time.
In separate bags, and that’s great, because I didn’t find a way to install the jacks with the nuts on
Not dumbassery but non-fluency. Most of us don’t write Chinese very well.
