I laugh but I just plugged a module in last night and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working , oh hey thats right the voltage regulator transistors haven’t shown up yet duh .
That’s a wireless module…
i’ve just forgot a hole in one panel, a bit boring for the installation that I had planned, but I added it as well as the indication, I will just have to give it a coat of varnish
Infinite (invisible ?) resistors in series with the jacks can’t really hurt anything
It can hurt one’s brain if you don’t spot it…
or your feelings once you do
Real problem is that it’s at my remote ( Workshop/Office ) and I have no components here yet. I brought two TL072’s and a 74 yesterday from home only to find I needed 2 74’s!
In Scotland we’re rarely without a bag o chips!
I had some Jacks socket to recover in advance
I calculate how many are missing
I ordered 90
and now I know I will miss a dozen to finish my case
I will still have to go look for it in my old bending toys
conclusions :
- I need about more than 110 jack socket for this case
- I don’t calculate very well
its amazing how many jack sockets get used .
I bought in 100’s once and have since.
A bag o chips, with Cheese and gravey, With a Mars bar, all deep fried…
for our non UK friends…>
I found out about this last year, I would say that TRUMPS the mars bar!
Yeah, I thought I had a bunch spare, but find all I have are the incorrect non PCB ones…
I have JUST enough to finishe the current modules.
Well turns out I have no 200K’s and I seem to be out of 10K also… So Further Delayed. Feel a bit down but will bounce rigth back
So my LPF wasn’t working right… spent a while yesterday trying to figure out why…
Turns out I put two 2n3906s in the place of the Bc558s.
Got the box of transistors out to check for the correct ones… proceeded to drop entire box over the floor…
(Luckily we have laminate floor) spent further 3 hours collecting all the transistors and sorting them out.
Turns out I don’t have any bc558s. hits head against wall have ordered some from amazon which should turn up today.
I appreciate the time this took to make me chuckle.
humour is a massively valuable and powerful tonic.
