In the BOM, the 1/4” Jacks are not listed - I assume these are Rean NYS232? (I remember reading somewhere that @lookmumnocomputer is using these mainly). Just making sure before ordering the wrong ones.
Brand shouldn’t matter, the footprint is pretty universal. I usually go with these from Tayda. https://www.taydaelectronics.com/hardware-tools/6-35mm-1-4-plugs-jacks/45015-dup-6-35mm-1-4-stereo-phone-jack.html
Here’s my eurorack version of the Grr, that have a few issues :
I made a two layers PCB and faceplate with easyEDA, then printed with JLCPB. The result looks neat, buuuuut :
- I completely messed up the orientation of the pots (all of them), I already desoldered everything and rewired them;
- The output LED doesn’t light up;
- When the shift switch is connected to +12V, the cutoff pot only works clockwise from halfway up… don’t think it’s normal;
- Resonance pot is pretty “wonky”, it makes kind of a bump halfway through and seems a bit “unstable” when slightly turning the pot.
I don’t know if any of you came across those problems but I would love to read if you have got some tips to fix them.
