The idea is that there is another puzzle made up of switches next to it that you have to solve. When you do it turns on the “docks” so you can plug in the fans (which are found elsewhere) into them and then push the buttons to turn them on and display a message.
It really pushed my design and 3d printing skills and took a lot of trial and error - but its pretty much done.

This was the best/only option I could find after a cursory amount of research. I was hoping to find something a bit more durable since things that are in an escape room are really run through the mill. It should be interesting to see how long they last.
