Useful and Interesting Chips

Hi everyone - long time lurker, first time poster here.

I was wondering if anyone had any lists or resources about IC chips that are useful for DIY modular stuff?

Every time I come across new (to me) chips like the CEM3340, CD4017, PT2399 etc - I find it really inspiring for want of a better word and just want to go and build something with them.

Are there any ICs you think are worth a look that might not have made it in to a LMNC module yet?

Thanks,
Jack

Well I’m a lurker no more - tried my hand at building some modules last week and had a blast.

That would be fantastic. I’m sure there are some weird and wonderful chips out there that people have put to great use.

Per Look Mum No Computer Thingies, in the past month there have been 38 users who visited 5 or more times but posted nothing.

And do any of us have a link or source for interesting or useful/must have chips for synth DIY?
The YouTube MIAW has a great spreadsheet attached.
Wasn’t there a sheet a while ago for Sam’s projects?

The Electric Druid website is very much about all the amazing chips there are out there and all the wonderful things you can do with them to make synthesisers and stomp boxes.
