DIY repositories

I thought it would be a good idea to post the DIY/OS repositories (hardware and software) I know that contain designs of anything DIY and Open Source one can imagine that would be interesting to add to one’s synthesizer or modular.

Let’s start with

LMNC

and obviously there is Muff Wiggler and

YuSynth

and Rene Schmitz’s Synths’R’Us

But there may be more less known repositories like: www.ozoe.fr which contains a lot of interesting and well documented designs. For modular have a look here: modular stuff @ www.ozoe.fr
You can use the chrome browser to translate the pages for you if your French is a bit rusty.

Do you know any not in this list?

This is my github

There’s a lot of half- or quarter- or tenth-baked ideas represented there but also forks of some of the Mutable Instruments stuff in KiCad-importable form, and the MFOS-SVF is built and known to be working.

(The original Mutable Instruments site is

@dud (of music share fame) has schematics for most (all?) modules in his modular build here:

Kristian Blåsol’s “modular in a week” project has schematics & build videos for the various modules he’s been exploring:

(don’t miss the “and here is my modular” reveal at 0:45 in the project intro video).

I don’t know why I never got around to posting this link to CTAG. This is an open hardware project mostly based on the inexpensive, hugely powerful ESP32 platform. There are two open source hardware projects here.

Strämpler (the word is a portmanteau of the German words for streamer and sampler) is just about the last word in online sampling modules in Eurorack format.

TBD (literally To Be Determined) is a simple platform for hobbyists interested in processing audio in Eurorack format.
