Source for 1/4 patch cables?

Hi, I’m in the process of jumping for Eurorack to Kosmo. Does anyone have a good source for 1/4 patch cables? I’ve been looking at places like mono price and amazon, and it looks like there’s ~$5 a pop barrier on pre-made cables.

So far the best option I’ve seen is making your own with pugs from Rapid at ~$1.5 for 2 plugs plus the wire.

I recently picked up some cheap cables on eBay. 60 cm (2ft) cables, big mono jacks (6.35mm) sold as “mixing desk patch cables” The plugs are in moulded plastic housings, with an unusual right angle exit for the cables (which could I admit cause problems on crowded module patch bays.) Cost £4.94 for a set of six, tax included, free postage. I think that’s somewhere in the region of $1 US per cable.

Do keep looking, you’ll probably find similar bargains that ship to your address.

Thanks.

I started by searching for “1/4 cables” “instrument cables” and guitar cables" those were all pretty spendy.

“mixing desk patch cables” seems to be the magic words. I put that in and right off the bat found this,

That same 8-pack of 3ft (90cm) patch cables is also available in the UK for a decent price. The manufacturer’s code is Hosa CPP-890. I’m glad I could help you to break the $5 per cable barrier.

I looked at those Hosa ones, they seemed pretty flimsy, I went for these instead.

The Hosa ones are definitely flimsy. I’ve had several become unreliable.

That must be a new listing because otherwise I’d have to admit to being too inept to find it when I was shopping Monoprice about three days ago. (For these:)

The site is a bit of a mess. You have to go to Pro Audio Cables.

dang this is good! i needed more patch cables thanks.
Im grabbing a bunch of these for my keystep pro:

Edit: nvm they are like 1ft lol.

They have ones that are longer too. Or did you need shorter?

Edit: misunderstood what you were looking for.

The 1/4" to 1/8" ones are a foot long. Though the adapters I bought are even shorter.

I went with the 6ft ones:

I thought about adapters, but I worry about the clearance side by side for the keystep cv outs, as well as the stability of such a system. Just bit the bullet and got the 1/8in (3.5mm) to 1/4in (6.35mm) ones. I have 2 rather long ones, I would have gotten the 3ft, but they were out of stock. The 6ft ones i got are still cheaper than elsewhere.

Yeah, adapters from small to large are good, not the other way around

Ive just been burnt with those types where they bend n shit lol.

So far I have had good luck with the hosa set in spite of the flimsyness.

I REALLY got burned by some cheap cables on ebay - they are actually breaking my jack sockets.
