Yes they work, played with those same models in 5v, 9v, and 12. They are pretty quiet. I hooked the switches up to LFOs and ran them for hours no problem. Also ran them at like suuuuper high speed audio frequencies with a piezo lol. They are pretty resilient
I’ve also tried the white ones you linked that are even smaller, actually the same footprint as a DIP-16 thru hole IC (they are taller). They make almost no noise. You would not hear them behind a panel.
I’ll be using the white ones for my mixer design cause I’m cramped for space and quiet is probably best for a mixer
