Passive Sterero Crossfade mixer

Im wondering if this would work or do i need something more complex.
will i be running into issues?

That’s definitely the circuit with the minimum viable parts. It’s worth a shot to see if it behaves the way you want. The balance you need to strike with the passive crossfader is acceptable bleed through vs. acceptable signal loss, as determined by the value of the dual gang pot. 10k seems a good value to start with.

thanks so much friend!

i’m guessing this would be a part i could order

That’s the one. For volume pots use logarithmic pots but for cross fading I think linear is preferred for an even fade.

When in doubt I always experiment with both log and lin (marked A and B respectively).

Experimenting with pots always reminds me of those scenes in westerns where the guy builds a new pistol from parts. Opening pots to swap out the coil discs or stacking several together on a single shaft, mixing log and lin on one shaft even adding knocks (a positional click) or dead zones.

I could go on… and on ..

Enjoy
