I did start to install GIT, but I git sidetracked. Too much else to do and when you spend all day sorting computer issues, the last thing I really want to do at night is stress over a computer of my own…
I needed a Mac tonight, spent an hour pulling the starter motor off our ford Galaxy ( no not a Galaxie ) in torrential rain. Soaked to the skin but it’s on the bench and confirmed dead.

Panning: what are you using for panning automation?
I figure I could rig something up by:
- running an output of my Quad VCA Mixer into a multiple
- running two outputs from the multiple into their own respective inputs on the Quad VCA
- automating the panning via both + and - CV from an LFO or ADSR into the VCA CV inputs
Pretty sure this would result in some pretty hard panning without an attenuator or something else involved, which may be a bit heavy handed.
What do you use for varying levels of ping pong panning?

Seen that Robert Pattinson has stopped filling due to CV19, probably, since he is the BATMAN it’s better than Having Bird Flu.
Never had the Common Flu Jab, not in the RISK category.

But getting vaccinated lowers not only your risk of infection but that of your family and friends. Herd immunity is achieved by having sufficient numbers of immune people.
We’ve got one pandemic going on, it’d be nice to head off another one at the same time.

Yeah. I want to second this. It’s not so much about being in the risk category as much as preventing others, who might be, from getting sick. I’m not sure how it is elsewhere, but it’s usually pretty inexpensive to get a flu shot in the US, which makes me think it’s likely less expensive elsewhere. Something like $10 or even free.

Depends on your insurance, but usually cheap or free (mine was free).

Just a reminder to UK folks that these are free on the NHS and can make all the difference if you come into contact with at risk people often! Echoing the above sentiment, all the COVID stuff has made us all more aware of at risk individuals and remember that that awareness of other people’s healthcare requirement shouldn’t just end at COVID prevention. Carry that thoughtfulness on!

I’ll just add my +1 here. It’s not about your risk.

Previously in the UK you had to be “At Risk” to get it free… That must have changed.
I was not saying I don’t want it as I am not at Risk, but that I don’t think I am eligible as not in a Risk category.
If it is free, never been told about it…

offered free to people at risk, which I am not.

Ah apologies! That’s my bad - I work in dementia research and have needed it for the past few years, lapsed my memory that it was only free to me through work.
Regardless, if you’re at risk or work closely with those who are, look into it

I’m rather shocked by this. In the US everyone is encouraged to get a flu vaccine, and despite our garbage health care system, for most people it’s either free or cheap, and you can get it with no appointment at a pharmacy. I’ve forgotten if that’s regulated state by state or federally; until this year only doctors’ offices could administer the vaccine to children, but this year at least in New York pharmacies can do everyone.

It may well be cheap ( subsidised I guess ) but it’s not advertised.
Our healthcare system is great but each region has it’s own “NHS Trust” and the available services are not the same in each, sometimes you can travel (like our friend with terminal cancer who has to do a 90 mile round trip to get therapy)…
Also in Scotland and Wales they get free prescriptions, Scotland is 6 miles up the road from me in England and I have to pay… Saying that, a prescription could haver £££ of items on it and you just pay the flat fee ??? £9 ??? ( only used it once in 45 years… ).
I did have a hernia opp in 2011, that was free, no idea what it would cost in the US…
If you look at the stats for common flu in the UK, you can clearly see that the immunisation of the “At Risk” sector has made a huge improvement in numbers of Flu related deaths. If you actual look the 2010-2015 figures could make you question the fuss over CV19.

Very different in Scotland. Not only is the flu shot free to me but also to my family and carer (as we’re all at risk.) And pennies to anyone from the local chemist. Still once Trump has done his deal with Boris I expect I’ll need insurance or donate a kidney in future when my NHS is gone. And people wonder why Scots would want independence!
Little bit of politics. Sorry
