Did I somehow apologize insufficiently for my tendency to suddenly veer off "Squirrels!! "

I’m quitting smoking on the 1st of October. Who wants to quit with me?
Saving for a Fender Rhodes piano. Anyone with an old one in the Uk?

I don’t smoke, but I would love to have a Rhodes!!
Thought about getting a Yamaha Reface CP, it has a very good Rhodes sound and is ā€œonlyā€ ~300€, but that is not the same, of course…

I need more than the sound. The playability of the Rhodes is very different to any keyboard I’ve ever used. My Yamaha P150 stage piano can, with a tweak, sound quite close but the weighted piano keyboard has too heavy an action to riff or underplay.

The Refaces have about the same size keyboard as the Keystep Pro IIRC. I support you quitting smoking though-I hope it has all the benefits to your quality of life that it’s purported to. I don’t smoke, but I guess I could start for a month to join you! (That may be the worst idea I’ve ever shared here.)

Worst? Nah!
I smoked when younger and quit when my youngest told me I was an idiot. Then after more than a decade I took it up again as it was a panacea for chronic bedridden boredom.
Hoping my ā€œorgan transplant*ā€ in a couple of weeks will fill the void.

  • scooped up a 1972 Yamaha YC-25D with bass pedals for pennies back in February which has been lockdowned in London and hopefully will arrive about the 9thgwh47by7tsa1wzfxzz44

My new organ

Nice organ.

I am quiting the wine again when the kids go back to school… I quit in January and was doing fine until lockdown started…

Need to loose a couple of stone and associated inches…

You cannot get decent tea (in tea bags) here in Germany. This is my supply that will last well into 2021.
The wetsuit is for my ongoing attempt to learn kitesurfing. Driving to Lago di Garda tomorrow.

Speaking of git, for the two of you out there who use git and Linux, I just came up with an excellent one liner:

find . -name .git -exec echo -e '\033[0;34m'{} \; -exec git -C {}/.. status -s \;

It searches below the working directory for any git directories and shows if there are any uncommitted changes. So if you have a bunch of repos, you can see which are out of date all at once. Sample output:

(Unfortunately that’s only an excerpt from a much longer output in my case…)
