My build progress

Thanks, the process is clear to me now. Just wondering where to get the spray glue.

Power supply for the 2nd rack.

Almost finished apart from the power connector I ordered which hasn’t arrived yet.

I think the only thing to consider is using the “multi-feed” tray on the printer rather than the main paper tray. It’s designed to take in specialty papers - card stock or high gloss paper. I just used magazine paper I cut with an exacto knife and it fed through just fine.

The circuit and therefore building it is not very complicated. You only need to be compentent at soldering. Oh, and know how to program an Arduino Nano. I will open a thread soon where I will show close up pictures of my implementation and a link to the software repository and the 3D panel file. You can then decide whether you want to follow my build or adapt the euro rack to Kosmo or other dimensions.

That sounds very good! I think I can solder. I also have some Arduinos and “blink” I can do  .
So if the code is there I should get it on the Arduino and be able to make small changes.

In fact it’s closer (almost identical) to the MFOS wall wart supply. The latter uses 3300 ”F caps and adds load resistors but I think it’s the same otherwise. The FC circuit’s a little different.

One caveat: The layout shown doesn’t allow room to add a heat sink to the 7912. Of course that’s easy to fix, just mount it an inch or so to the right. Heat sinks on both regulators are a good idea. (Don’t let them touch each other.)

Panel components mounted. Next, wiring, then testing and debugging.

So, yeah, let me know when I can buy one

Same. And does it come in black?

I have still to go back to videos on Quantizers to understand what they are!

Basically a quantizer is frets for a synthesizer!

Got my second case built. This time the right width. Now I have a home for the Eurorack playset and a few other rad modules. Now I need to finish up some modules (some pink bags also came today) and put together several more cables.

Why pink? Is that a Tayda thing?

Looking really sturdy! Got some gigging planed?

the pink plastic is antistatic and most likely cheaper than the silver bags.

Not in the near future for obvious reasons. That center post wasn’t added to make it sturdier. The top and bottom pieces of wood were warped just enough that, without that center post, the center of the box was smaller than 40cm. It’s just straightening the box.

Finished a Wire Tap from @threetom

Lol, for some reason I thought there was only 1 Wire Tap with the board
lol hence the itty bitty order from Mouser

So a mini patchboard for your scope. Good to have.

I put together a few modules today that I’ve been waiting for parts on (some of which I will continue to wait on parts for).

I finished up the Eurorack Playset (stoked). I put together most of the MikroKosmos (missing piezo, but close enough for now). I did almost all of a Quad VCA mixer until I realized I was missing a couple key ICs. I also started the VLPG - waiting on 1.5nf caps and it should be good to go. Mostly a productive evening.
