My build progress

The keyboard is from the MS-20 providing CV from a simple resistor cascade. The Yamaha CS-5 works differently and needed some sort of a key assigner. It’s just 4066 cmos switches and many diodes. works!!

Is anyone else using waxcord? I learned this during vocational training 35 years ago and still like to tidy up cables like that. It feels ,idk, “more zen” than cable ties.

" i wait for some pot ". not to make fun of your english but is that what you meant ? . I haven’t smoked in years but some days I think it would make testing and trouble shooting much less aggravating .

Awww man you could have saved $0.00003 per unit to get 800 more

well hopefully some day I will have used that many , the 200 will probably go quicker than I think .

Are we still talking the magic blue smoke or some other colour?

Just the native speakers being silly on purpose – the word “pot” has many meanings:

Not even going to reuse the Otto meme again. It’s been too recent.

It’s the best thing for looming a bunch of cables, I used it in my telecom days. What you’ve done there looks very tidy!

I’m curious-what is Wax Cord? I don’t see anything I don’t recognize in the photo-is it the little white beads on the cat10 wires? How does it work?

I have a thing for vintage electronic. Everytime I open something and see that i think: “yay, lovely”. On the other hand i also love Sam’s approach not giving a funk about it and just getting things done quickly.
