It’s a defining moment, now I can make sound and alter it… I can BUILD on that and if something else does not work I can take time to investigate without thinking everything is BAD…
Tonight… LFO,VCO and my mixer ( lets play with triangles and saws at the same time…)
I finally got to test my modules, one nice day all worked ! (some adjustment, trim pot, resistor … but nothing serious)
a VCO, 2 VCF, a Mixer, the VCLFO (I just had an inverted pot to re-solder), a Multi, 2 AD / AR, the mini ADSR and a Wave Folder (all on stripboard)
there must be 4 left to test tomorrow.
I have one remark on the VCF modules with Hi/Lo switch, for those who would do the stripboard version like me
on hi pass when the Cut Off pot is to the maximum the sound is blocked, add a 2 k resistor on pin 3
it’s the same problem also with low pass when the signal in is too strong (a square wave for exemple), but i have put an attenuator pot on all my input of all this filter
it’s less safe to be wrong with PCBs but we are always happy when everything works from schem or stripboard (VCLFO and ADSR was the more complex for me)
since I test the modules one by one (by security) I don’t stare them, I will take photos and videos when the case is finished
Add the 2K resistor between pin 3 and where? Will this work on the PCB Performance filter, too?
I have that exact Problem since day one.
I still have 100k resistors on the inputs though and thought maybe using 20k instead would solve this problem
