My build progress

That would be 22.49 / (12 - 1) = 2.04 mm

So I guess it will be 2 mm.

I’ve been working on several boards this weekend. The simplest one is a passive multiple. It can be used in several ways. All jacks are normalized but the ones in the left column can break the chain: 1 in x 11 out, 2 in x 5 out, 4 in x 2 out. Here is a pic:

After getting some practice in with my new desoldering pump, I nervously took the plunge on the ROM expansion for my TR707 from https://hkadesign.org.uk/. Happy to say it went well, and I now have 8 classic sounds banks to choose from.

thought this looked cool

@CTorp pretty excited. Bought the desoldering station for myself as a bday present. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07542D82F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Man, I think I need one. Looks like the ic could have fallen out when you got the last pad

I didn’t even have to wiggle it. I rarely make mistakes when building my boards, but if i did, desoldering the other ways proved to be a nightmare, and sometimes I ended up damaging the pads or traces.

Hey,
I can show a few small pictures of a build progress. My brother-in-law sent me pictures of how great his super fancy music room is blah blah blurp. With mobile phone holder here and tablet holder there and of course laptop stand …
And that pissed me off so badly because I’ve always wanted to buy a laptop stand because I have very little space. What you see in the pictures is my living room, my laptop is also my only “TV”, there I eat, there I solder and there I make music, my whole life is practically happening there
And then I just checked what wood I still had and started. At first it should be just this:

But then I still had an idea and some sawed off boards and it became this structure.

and I have to say I should have built it 2 months earlier, that makes everything sooo much easier

This evening’s panel wiring brought to you by ice cream and Fourtet.

I swear I’ll finish this module by Christmas!:sob: I’m pretty sure I’ve made every mistake at least once. Ruined the stripboard. Ruined the panel. Maybe frying the chips is next :grimacing:
