I like how your stuff sounds like the ambient sounds of an alchemist lab.

I had a heck of a night.

I’ve been using four Frequency Central Microbuses to power my rack, and I think a got a bad batch of wall warts. One died last week, and the other 3 went out today when my buddy was over.

At first I thought my new safety valves were drawing too much power, but the last two died with only a few VCOs and filters plugged in. Fortunately I still had one last power supply in my travel case.

Modular rocks; because with 3/4s of my rack down, we still did this.

Baby steps, but a big one for me - first sound 100% from the DIY synth.
Starting to get my head around this setup, trying to figure out how it works multitracking into a DAW.

The kick is midi track in Ardour playing a sample from the DIY synth with an inverted envelope doing some FM work on a triangle wave.
The quasi hat sounds were the LFO modulating the VCO in the audio range.
Bass was a PWMed pulse mixed with the sub-osc. Then I built the chords with the looper pedal.

Cheers

Whatever is on that plate, it does not look a lot unlike the lava stream I’ve seen crawling past while watching volcanic activity on Iceland of late:
