Streamed a bit last night. Played around with the megadrone. It’s fairly long, but if you skip around, there’s some good stuff here and there.

You can tell from the fact that you say “Fruity loops” that you’ve been using it for a long time. It is the same for me, I also use Ableton and even if the statement is simply nonsense for some people, Ableton just sounds fuller and more present. Although a DAW can’t sound any better, but that’s exactly the point. Well, no matter whether it is like that or not, I always end up with the good ol’ Fruity Loops :revolving_hearts:

I hope someday I’ll get to the point where my music sounds like that too !!

Haha yeah i havent used FL in years, i think i formatted the drive with it on or just removed it and lost it… idk it was on old copy from college. I found it user friendly, anything that wasnt was mostly covered on YT. plus it could still do some nice stuff just from the 3xOSC and some EQ/FX. (wouldnt mind building a modular version lol)

hmm thinking about it i used to love a Bit Crush VST i had… Are there any decent DIY BitCrushing sripboard layouts?
Bitcrushing vocoders was fun, playing with the modulation curves and gating. =D

I saw a few bit crushers at guitarfxdottcom or something like this, but i don´t know if there good or work ? Fruity is very easy i love it i use it now for almost 20 years i think…i´m getting old

please tell me if you find a bit crusher Stripboard Layout, or share it in the veryfied Stripboards Thread.

Greetings Thomas

Thanks a lot, that’s a good compliment ! for me practicing a maximum is the best learning.

and that’s also how I see which module I would need, like even more VCA, VCF, Env …

Seriously. putting in the time with the modules and learning what works is what has been helping me get some good stuff. I am thinking of streaming tonight. We’ll see.

A MEGADRONE Performance

this was great. I’ve also been experimenting with this monster. Particularly the detune. I did a bit of an exploratory stream with it:

Notable times:
48:54 - happy accident
1:29:00 - megadrone, ears as a freeze trigger, XD cello-ish patch, 80s movie bass)
2:52:00 - I don’t even know

My main music production pipeline is in FL Studio. Anything else (like hardware) is just complementary for me. Mine is the case of familiarity of the GUI. The only thing i can complain about with FL is its midi implementation and slave syncing is weak. I try other DAWs, but i always come back.
