I’v made the schematic and was going to order PCB’s from jlcpcb, but got sidetracked with working on VCO. Will probably get back to it in week or two.

Not Synth related, but building modular gave me the confidence to start on this…

I hate Signature Deliveries more than most things…
Got one today, well… got the slip… with zero information on it… -_-
No Idea what it is because not a single one of my tracking numbers shows attempted delivery… lol sigh

That should be a fun project @twinturbo (and now your name names a bit more sense!) I was actually wondering the other night what the current situation is with DIY EMS. I’ve built a few megasquirt systems over the years and I’m getting really close to putting the money into finishing a vehicle project that’s been on hold for 13 years (due to me moving and no longer having a garage to work in.) While starting a checklist of what’s needed and “rewire everything” was one of the items I got to wondering if I should re-wire the Megasquirt that was in it or start researching something newer and better ( or at least seeing how MS has changed over the last decade or so - since I doubt it still uses RS-232 for the tuning interface!)

Speeduino uses tunerstudio and is well supported, should have this done for under £80 which is not bad at all. Got a number of projects to use them on

More about the string instrument? I’ve only ever seen the word “taiko” in reference to drums. Looks like some kind of electrified Japanese hurdy-gurdy…

Taiko…typo!
It’s Japanese.
Called a Taisho Koto, or Taishogoto or even a Nagoya harp.
It’s what happens if typewriters play mums and dads with a diddly Bo with a low drone string and extra courses for melody volume.

Or it’s a Japanese keytar

Omg! Those are wonderful! Did you make them?
I spent ages looking for plans and finally lost patience and hit up eBay Japan.
I have a collection of odd string instruments and I’ve been making weird playables for decades.
Currently researching hurdygurdy type chordphones for a pedal drone idea I’ve had. (All in the pile that’ll take me 50 years to finish)

I painstakingly downloaded the image by hand from Wikipedia
