Mail Day Thread

Mmmm… crunchy! I like to sprinkle the failed Chinese copies on my bran flakes in the morning.

This actually came last weekend. I haven’t even plugged it into a mixer yet. (It’s been a f*'d up few days.)

I remember swearing up and down that I’d never own a Yamaha FM synth back in the 80s but now, here I am, trying to recapture a little piece of the 80s…

Funny how that works out. Sometimes you want metallic cold twingy sounds.

Maxhirez,

If you had the serum injected into you by the synthesizer authorities of a certain time you swore that authenticity was in analog(ue) but everything else was ruining society… so a very controlled narrative goes. What I think is I bought along with it only because you couldn’t even find synthesizers that looked like analog in any store. In any case even though I had some slight case of brain damage that resembled most who took the serum I had this analogist sneer at anything that resembled “cheap” to me. There was a day I heard a remix that included Devo in it using a Commodore 64 which I didn’t know had to do with Devo, Commodore 64 or SID. I only heard the programming of the vocals and polyphonic synths through what sounded digital and I was enchanted away from my thoughts of the better synths so I thought. I got into chiptune and eventually I became free to enjoy FM or digital synths and I do often.

I gave away my FB01 and miss it. It is both toytown and state of the art with it’s ability to distribute instruments over the polyphony live it’s versatile too.

The all important packing supplies arrived today along with my Erica Synths 8-step sequential switch that I ordered from them directly. Thought it might take longer coming from Latvia but it was only 3 weeks. My first fully assembled factory module that I have purchased

Yes @CTorp, I still want yours!

I think I had one of them a few months back, nut sold it on. Same sort of time I bought a DX9 and found it was the worst of the DX’s … Managed to find a new home for that too…

I did get an EMT-10 last week for £4, very basic but it can add a little bit of a layer to whatever your playing for virtual no investment

Knobs from AliExpress, nothing notable. Except that they arrived 19 days after ordering.

It was accidentally sent from Rochester NY to somewhere in Arkansas? After making it all the way from Thailand (sorry, I mean Thighland) that’s quite a big mistake.

Given the timing (46 minutes), I hope what it means is the plane they thought it was on landed in Rochester but the package was actually on a plane that went to Arkansas. In any case, it is having a bad problem and it will not go to Syracuse today.

I used to live in Rochester, spent my 21st on the castle green.
