So, itās the latter. It is fully functional with no fader or knob crackle that I can find. Which is honestly shocking given the layers of dust on it. No available meter bridge, though, but Iām not about to complain

Meter bridge or no, that is one lucky find! Just give it a good clean and youāll never need to buy another (home) studio mixer again!

Soooo I have 2 of these 2XL robots coming in the mail. The intro on the 1st 8 track imprinted my young mind with synthesis. Iām going to try and get a few more and since I have an 8 track recorder I can make my own loops. I feel that it might have to be bent to make it more interesting and not just play loops.

Oh man I remember playing with one of those for hours! Friends of ours 3 states away had one and we couldnāt wait to drive to Indiana to see 2XL!

I was so pissed when my parents sold it in a yard sale. So yeah endless possibilities here, I just want to turn off the lights and stare at itās eyes like I did when I was little. Iām in Kansas City Missouri Maxhirez sounds like you might not be to far from me.

Like a more stable 808 
. not an overly long decay range, but I wasnāt really super after that anyway. Maybe Iāll figure out which cap to change to modify it, though. And CV on the tune would be good. But, really happy with the sound!
That space next to the Tune knob is just crying out for a jack, isnāt it.
I have a couple Barton drum PCBs waiting impatiently for the Tayda shipment.

Has anybody tried making the super simple oscillator?? If yes, can you guys help me. I donāt really know how it should be placed to oscillateā¦ the website and yt video didnāt help to solve this.
