My turn

Hmmm
This looks wrong

Ahh no, the pot foot print is fine, however these are boards where I thought they would print F.Fab and B.Fab information, which they have not, so there’s no component values,

Never heard of getting fab layers silkscreened, is that a thing?

One reason I have a custom footprint library is I make sure both value and reference are visible on the silk layer.

No, it’s not a thing, and for the last three years I have just been Notepad++ Find and replace F.Fab → F.Silks, but for some reason when plotting a few weeks back saw that Fabs were not ticked and thought that was the reason they never printed (not that JLC just does not print them ). So a few designs are a bit sparse, having said that having a large paper printout of the board actually works just as well.

I wrote a shell script to use “sed” to do the find/replace instead in future, just needs run as one of the task in my checklists before plotting.

P.S…

Finally took the plunge and upgraded from Kicad 5 to 7 over the weekend, been a few issues where they have changed naming conventions like CP is now C_Polarised and one which is obviously from the PC brigade where male and female connectors no longer seem to exist… Still getting used to a few of the UI changes but overall there’s been more “Ahh Cool” moments than “WTF” ones, like Swap in PCBNew (please dont say it was in 5 also!! )

It’s actually C_Polarized. That dates back to KiCad 6. But I still have CP in my custom library.

Oh, I hadn’t noticed that one. Nice. I’m pretty sure that’s new in 7.

SWAP made my day on Sunday when 8 items were in a nice line, but in a random order… no more faffing with position exactly/relative, move exactly or whatever.

Not exactly mail, but it’s a nice find none the less!
I just picked up an iRig keys for iPad as "spares n repairs for half the marked price. Apparently had some usb issues, figured it’d be a nice little project. Unfortunately no such luck…
Turns out it’s in perfect working order haha!

Had a little jam n made a little tune in MiRack. Might work on adding more to it later with the BSP.

Got the BPM Clock from Circuits and Sounds today. Sebastian has his projects up on Etsy. I am trying to get him to put them on the Kosmodulargrid.

For those looking, as I didn’t find it via the Etsy search: CircuitsAndSounds - Etsy

Thanks Dan I should have thought of posting that.

MFOS noise toaster! I don’t really need another synth in my life but I want to work through the ‘how it works’ bit of Ray Wilson’s book, I think I’ll learn a lot

Plus it’s orange. And there’s no such thing as too many synths.

Necro’ing this post to ask if you have any of the Jove panels lying around? Having a hard time finding one. I’m too new to send a PM so this will have to do, haha!

I do have a couple of the Jove panels left that I had made, yes. I tried sending you a message to see if I initiate it if it would go through. It looks like it did? If you didn’t receive it and/or cannot open it for some reason just respond here and I will give you another way to get in touch.

don’t we know it , now its just convincing the wife !
