Hope you didn’t lose the little switch daughterboards in the grass!
wow green resistors! never seen those in my life. Any specific material they are made of?
Royal Ohm datasheet (https://taydaelectronics.com/datasheets/files/royalohmprecisionmetalmf.pdf) says
I didn’t think these looked “extra small” but then I noticed MF 50-SS (1/2 W) are the same size as MF 25 (1/4 W). But oddly MF 25-S (1/4 W), S not SS, are the same size as MF 12 (1/8 W) (and are the same color).
Anyway, I’m guessing: Metal film, 1/2 W, same size as the usual metal film 1/4 W.
Standard ¼W metal film, as far as I know. Just not the usual blue coloured Royal Ohm I normally buy. Bought off eBay, rather than RapidOnline…
I bought a couple around 2015 for £9 each. If you have the wireless dongle there is software (written by my son) to allow you to play it as a wireless MIDI instrument.
Voltage controlled whoopie cushion
Hahaha your son did that one? I found it randomly on GitHub a few days ago and it worked immediately, be sure to forward my thanks
Electronic drum set?
Though I’m tempted to go along with @analogoutput 's excellent and stimulating suggestion, I feel obliged to confirm @ChristianBloch 's correct guess. Nothing exotic, just the Alesis Nitro mesh kit. As a bass player I’m currently interested in increasing my physical grasp of rhythm, and as an ancient person who is about to collect their pensioner’s bus pass I’m aware of the health benefits of a workout on the drums.
I just noticed that the thumbnail for this video shows a kit with two kickdrum pedals which appear to be arranged in a “double bass” configuration, quite popular in the heavy metal genre. The kit comes with one kick pedal.
A friend was giving a set of Commodore 64C perpherals and console to the first interested person and they were this dragon.
I have power, video and SD drive perpherals.
I have another 8BITBOSTON sticker.
It wasn’t mail but curbside pickup. Oh well!

And here it is set up at Bitnik Studios.
The kick drum pedal is very loud, so for now at least I’m going to have to improvise with a tom pad. I’ll probably improvise a much quieter substitute soon.
Sudden thought: I could connect the drumkit headphone out to the aux in of the Orange bass amp. Ultimately I’ll connect the balanced stereo to the balanced input of my Scarlett interface, but this may be worth a try meanwhile.
PS: yes, passing the headphone output into the aux in of the bass amp works very well. I’m trying to persuade Mrs Bitnik to try using the drums as an upper-body workout.
Decided that I should heed the suggestions that two channels is betterer than one. Fully assembled and tested, evidently. So if this one pops, like the only Amazon review suggests it will, I can at least send it back. More money than sense…
Got this little beauty. Works fine off the wallwart, but opening it up, she’s definitely seen some moisture and needs some love. There is a definite hum that needs some attention. Hopefully i can find a replacement switch for the broken one.
Oh wow, schematics are available on the web…I might have to use these for making a module. And the drums use 4011 and Twin-T filters just like the 2700 Twin-T Drummer!
