Ah yeah forgot to say, I got it working by using a DC output, I didn’t quite clock that there is such thing as AC or DC in cv signal but it totally makes sense!
For what it’s worth, if you plug a Eurorack power supply into the “Link” connector you only blow up the op-amps, and the AS3340/CEM3340 is unscathed…
…curiously the ardjuino fires up and does it’s thing, but nothing else works. Obvs.
Thought I’d share since I’m sure I’m not the only person to have done this… and for the benefit of the next casualy - just swap out the 072/074 and your’e good to go!
that falls under
A few of us did the same. lol
I’ve now painted the link connector bright red as a “visual aid”… I’d originally put bits of tape over it, but that had fallen off…
not a bad idea , I have noticed the tape on mine is a bit loose . if I had been thinking during the build I would have not put the link socket in . probably won’t use it , it seems to be something specific to Sam’s use .
Just plug a new IDC socket without any cable into it… no more temptation to use it
Ingenious. Problem solved.
Good to know. I was going to ask, for a friend obviously…
