Inspiration / what u listening to

and another goth hymn from Joachim Witt featuring Peter Heppner of Wolfsheim (who seems well aware of his 1920ies silent movie actor look). Quite melodramatic but well done, also lyic-wise.

Thanks for sharing this I like it! Also can something be goth and not melodramatic? I thought that was the point!

During the 90ies I was a part time DJ in a rock/goth/indie/punk… club.
This silly song from a swedish band was a guaranteed floorfiller.

There was one of those for sale locally not too long ago but the price was too high for something that needed repair. Here’s a great video of a modded one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2rTZtQNCGk&list=PLrYLkuFhwkH9gduUdWv-sEfV8fq_fLj-f&index=2

I remember John Peel used to play their stuff quite a lot on his BBC show. Because of his strong Merseyside accent I misheard the group’s name as “Metal Air Bane.”

A lot of french punk band at the time we used drum machines, no more need of a drummer to create a band and it gave a rather particular and unique style.
