After Sam posted the accapella on the Patreon, I knew I had to make a remix of the track. Only problem was that the original was in G half sharp minor; I had to tune it by ear, so hopefully it’s close enough.
I also took samples of ‘Viva Forever’ and the ‘Bruel Gruel’ track Sam put on Patreon (f*cking insane btw), and all other sounds were made from softsynths, sample packs, or my DIY Modular.
I spent the first half of last week trying to find inspiration for a music video, and the second half working non-stop to get it done before today. I’d love to hear what you think of both the remix and the video.
Also, I’ve got to say thanks to Sam and his manager Claire for giving me permission to release the remix.
I like the audio remix, especially the vocoder sounds and the bit at 2m08 which reminds me of Speedy J’s a Shocking Hobby. I’m afraid however I find a large part of the video a strain to watch because of all the flashing going on, but the flying towards the tv and then entering a new world a great find!
Thanks, I spent the first half of last week trying to come up with inspiration for the video, and the second half rushing to try and get it done on time. The main idea of the video was the flying into the TV, the other bits were more like filler. I’m glad you liked the concept though!
