Guitar Knobs Wiring

Hey, i need to do some mod on my guitar but i didn’t found anywhere probably because i don’t know how to search this in first place

I have a stratocaster guitar with the three knobs (Volume control and two tones), but i want to just have the volume knob (and the 5 position pickup selector switch) and take off the tone controls (and keep both of them on maximum volume), but i don’t know exactly how to wire this, if i solder all in parallel it will be the maximum volume or will be mute? im kinda lost

any guitar experienced folks to help me with? :smiley:

if you want to remove the tone pots, you can just remove the capacitors which are on the tone pots

removed the tone pot (all the blue), and you re connect with the little wire (red line) … not sure but i think

If you want to get rid of everything except 5 way and 1 volume pot, just make your output to jack from middle leg of volume pot. Chop the other stuff out.

and keep the ground wire (black one in the image) of the volume to the output in the same place too?

yes keep the GND on all
