Hello there, so I got a little problem, I ordered the wrong amount of 1M pots and I wanted to build a glide circuit. The circuit I see all over the internet is based on a 1M pots and a 2.2μF cap.
Could I use a 100k pot and a 22μF cap? Would it make a difference or not work as long as the other one. Thank you for your attention
You mention 2.2 µF but the schematic shows 1 µF. You’d get the same time constant range if you used 100k and 10 µF. (Well, nearly the same. To be exactly the same you’d have to drop R2 to 120R too.) 22 µF would give longer (2.2 times longer) minimum and maximum glides. I can’t see any reason why either choice would not work.
Oh yeah I saw a schem with a 2.2μF earlier that’s why I mentioned it sorry ^^
Well okay thank you! I will try it when I’ll receive every components and I’ll tell if it works as excepted with R2 as a 120R, VR1 as a 100k log pot and C1 as a 10μF electrolytic capacitor. Those parts seems more common than what’s in the schem
