Can you instead place more information in a single post? Your posts have been honestly more useful than my contributions in there i think. Just a thought, i think it would be good to add text that describes the images you post so that we can search with the search engine.
all in one post, I think I can’t make a link like I did in the glossary list
that’s what I found interesting, we look for a word in the glossary, we click on the link of the info and we arrive at the post concerned
if it’s possible to point a special part in a post, it would actually be better
is it possible ?
otherwise, as for the glossary, we would have to be several to participate in completing the definitions
Can I ask if anyone knows how to turn off the email summaries? I don’t need them.
You can do this in the email preferences. Works on mobile anyway. I only ever use this forum on mobile.
On desktop website, [avatar (top right)] > [username] > Preferences > Emails
I’ve been trying to upload some pictures to the ‘My progress’ page for a week now (been trying every day) to no avail. It just doesn’t work. I tried dropping images in the browser or browsing towards the file and opening it. I’ve tried firefox and chromium on linux and firefox on osx. None of them were succesfull. All attempts are timed out (dial stays at 0%).
Any thoughts?
Have you tried an external hosting service (Imgur?) Can discourse embed Imgur photos?
No, I have not resorted to trying external services. I used to be able to upload pictures without a problem. So I’m wondering why it is not working anymore.
Two things I can think of to try — connecting through a VPN, and creating a second account and seeing if it works there. Between the two you might learn whether it’s your account that’s the problem or your location (and if it’s neither, it’s hard to figure what else it could be).
You absolutely shouldn’t have to use 3rd part image hosting. Somethings up. Give me a DM, and we and try to get to the bottom of this.
The problem of not being able to upload pictures was caused by an amazon server being blacklisted by my private DNS-server. This DNS-server has been working so well for many years now, blocking spam and dodgy servers spreading malware, that I tend to forget it even exists, which makes troubleshooting take more time …
