#1007 midimuso midi-cv

Hello, sorry to bother, but I was wondering since the store was sold out of the 1007 module, was there a way to maybe purchase access to the KiCAD files for it?

I’ve reviewed the Midimuso techsaheets and it’s a cool tool but it’s not quite a proper module though. I think this module really made some great improvements in functionality, including the signal step ups, the more tidy jack matrix mounting pin with signal LEDs, and the stable power source.

If not, would it be worth it to wait for midimuso to apply the creature comforts from this PCB?

Sam usually restocks his modules pretty promptly when they sell out.

That’s awesome. I will be clicking refresh on the shop with anticipation. Also kudos on working in the deep cut for Adam and the Ants. I haven’t listened to them in a while. :+1:

Thanks again for the intel.

Highwaymen we’re no match for e-commerce… this time… I managed to snag one of the 1007’s today. So stoked. I can’t wait to get started. Thanks again for the intel. All the best.

Does anyone know if its possible to get pitch bend from from the other midi channels ?
other than channel 1 ?
i use channel 4 from the Muso for my Kosmo as my Ms20mini is stuck on CH1, but no pitch bend from2-3 that I can see.
works great for ch1.
i bin fooling around with it, but no lucks yet ? anyone else ?
“finners crossed”

Per the cheat sheet: No. Only channel 1 pitch bend.

you could however use another cv midi cc output thats avalable and use that as the pitch bend, thats if you are using a computer to sequence it etc. if you are just playing it by hand on channel 4, fashion up your own CV pitch bend wheel and it can plug in anywhere you want. but lke said if its using a computer just use another cc source, treat half way as 0 cc value 64… and if you want to combat the offset, if you built the offset boost attenuate you can use that to offset it so the value of 64 on that CC channel ends up coming out as 0 volts

That’s an awesome idea to build just a mod wheel mod. Lol. I gotta stay lawless and dawless so that’s right up my alley. Much respect.
However your totally right Sam, I can just run a patch from the Keystep pro silly I didn’t think of that  thanks you.
But I still like the build your own idea the best. Trying to keep my setup clean and easy(ish) to transport to gigs(who am I kidding it’s mental moving this thing). So just a midi is ideal but who doesn’t want a hot mod wheel. Gotta put a hot wheels sticker on it when it’s built.
Love it.
I do have the OBA.
On it like a … :oncoming_automobile:

First multitrack recording sesh today, found that only channel 1 is working… is this a known mode issue, or do I need to bust out the multimeter? (Normally, I figure it out 30 minutes after posting my woes, so let’s hope that happens now…)

I’m trying to run this guy in the 4pv mode, I end up with a nonsense signal on pin 2 when I release any keys. Interestingly wiggling the mod/pitch wheels eventually will calm everything down which lets me push some more keys, but then the problem comes back. I’ve tried the LMNC schem with the 2 6n137 as well as the midimuso schem using the 4n35. Any ideas? Thanks!

Another question is how am I supposed to actually use the pitch bend output? Do I send both to a unity mixer and then send that to a v/oct?

Yeah, if you really need the v/Oct I think that is the way to go. But I think using the (not v/oct) cv input of the oscillator should also work well enough if you tweak the attenuator knob to be roughly v/oct…

Oh that’s true, I forgot the 1222 had a separate CV for that. Will try it out.

i was playing with it for a bit and now i only get signal on cv1 and gate1 none of the others seem to work? Im not sure whats happened

does anyone have the firmware file sam uses that was on this originally? i wonder if i screwed it up as i was trying to send midi commands from my computer, all the lights came on and stayed on untill i cycled the power and now only chanel 1 has worked since

I am thinking of picking up a second #1007 for a new case and chaining it. Have any of you got any pointers for chaining them when they are in separate cases? I was thinking of adding a socket to the back of each case.
