What to do with lots of old transistors

Today I got lucky and found an assortment of lots of electronic parts in the local classifieds.
The seller inhitered the collection and gave it away for very little money.
Now there are tons of old transistors in there and I am looking for some projects to use them in. There are all kinds, germanium, silicium, npn, pnp, high voltage, low voltage, new, old, also pretty standard ones like BC547 etc.
I will breadboard an reverse avalanche circuit and try it with a few of them but I am open to other suggestions, I don’t need clean circuits, I like it noisy

@Piecho got their hands on a stash of old components a bit back. That thread does perhaps not provide too many answers, but there are some tips and links in there that might be useful:

Great news! I saw the word germanium in there, it reminded me of a germanium transistor amplifier I have in the ‘to do’ pile. It sounds more valve than a valve amp!

They some reverse avalanche circuits, you have many batches to try. Some work, some of the same kind don’t work so well in my limited experience.

Back in the late sixties we used germanium transistors because they were less expensive than silicon transistors.

git you one of these , there are a bunch of different brands . not that expensive for the time they will save testing stuff . they test caps , transistors , resistors , diodes . here I am checking a trim pot . saved me once when I got a batch of bad transistors .
