Does anyone here get into using old equipment to generate extra signals like oscillators from a function generator?
How do you personally patch it into your system?
I just made this passive device, similar to the Low-Gain UTIL and am curious if I should throw a resistor or something from the banana IN to the Signal out.
Would love to know if I should maybe add a pot from the banana to lower the signal?
Any suggest?
Thanks all!

When there’s any doubt - buffer it. Buffers add nothing and take nothing away but could stop your 1970’s Kenwood food mixer from frying your synth when you plug in.
You could always add a “patch-pal” type attenuator externally if the signal warrants it.

Hm, since I know my one Function generator puts out 12v, and at the moment this is mainly an Input Module, I may just use Voltage Dividers and bring one to 8v, one to 7v, and one to 6v. ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=9)

Now they are buffered with Voltage Dividers. ![ ](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/slight_smile.png?v=9)
Top Input gets divided to 8v.
Middle Input gets divided to 6v.
Bottom Input has no buffer.
