TL062s - good or no?

Inherited a good bunch of TL062s, I gather they are the noisier versions of the 072/082. But are they that bad? And if they are just rubbish, is there something mad I can use them for?
Cheers

Try them. A lot of lovely vintage equipment worked very well before improvements in production and quality assurance made us all so choosy.

In fact they’re marketed as the low power versions of the TL07x/TL08x. Minimum output voltage swing isn’t as good, though typical swing is the same. Differential voltage amplification is a lot smaller, 6 V/mV versus 200. Common-mode rejection ratio is a little lower, if that matters. Otherwise the specs are pretty similar aside from much lower current draw.

I will use a TL06x any day if it’s not a critical application. And then even sometimes.

I will give them a go. Im not knowledgable enough to know what is critical or not yet. So probably nothing is critical

This is synth DIY. Nothing’s critical.

I’m not sure whether that’s a good natured dig or not  but either way I’ll crack on with them thanks for the advice

It’s a good natured dig.
With diy you learn to expect things to not be a quality controlled.

and if it’s not perfect no one cares except maybe you. And if you’re a perfectionist you shouldn’t be doing this.

If I was a perfectionist I would be having a meltdown.
