I used the pico tamagotchi project as a tool to teach my students about: soldering, breadboards, components, general coding and oop (in python). The boards underwent multiple itterations, mostly a buggy prototype with new features (green & white) and a fixed working version (blue & purple).
I would have loved to have a class at school concerning programming and pi’s, displays etc. But heck, I started school too early (in the 2nd half of the 60’s).
@moderator: Too bad an item like this is published under ‘funny pages’, maybe it is time for a category called ‘educational’ or something similar?
I haven’t yet seen any castellated walls in hobbit settlements…
But seriously, a half a hole in the side of a pwb that is plated through gives a great place to solder stuff. And the board is smaller. Scribe and snap for a panel of many such boards is also possible. Castellated Hobbit habitations are in fact a thing.
I believe the adoption of the blue background on the 1% resistors was to make it easier for dogs to identify resistor values by sight as opposed to their more traditional smell test process which could only calibrate resistors into the triphasic*
No effect, Hmmm? and It’s Toast!
