My build progress

Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if this has been implemented in one of the many DSP-libraries (like FAUST) which are on the net. If so, it can probably run on a Daisy or Teensy (or maybe Axoloti). So I would suggest you start your search there.
On the other hand, I’d drop a question on the electro smith forum all the same if I were you.

if nothing else these things are a work of art …

Yeah, that’s the problem. You can’t just stick a bunch of German words into a row and expect the reader to assemble them into something that makes sense. Gender, syntactic structure, even the choice of prepositions makes a big difference in many languages including German. Introducing new loan words is not going to help that. English is one of the more forgiving languages, and still we have huge arguments about grammar and usage.

Today I finished the Yusynth VC panner. I wanted this for a long time and it’s awesome! Panel is still missing though. I hardly highly recommend building one.

Hardly, heartily or highly?

Waiting on parts for my yusynth vc panner. I do however have a nice pair of vu meters aside for it.

@Vumnoo & @jkb : it’s the YU VC Panner day :smile:
it’s seems to be a good module !

Yesterday and today i’ve made my 2 new FC power supply, a buff multiple, a Sub Osc. and a mixer/cross fader.
No wood for my case yet :unamused:

Today i have fixed up my case a bit better, and build a housing for my power supply. I was never comfortable with it just hangin out there.

NOW the Elements that @popflier built and programmed for me is finished

That’s it? That’s all you did in 2 days? I expect a lot more from you @Dud . I’m disappointed

Today I finished building the Funky Filter  , but when setting things up, I accidentally hooked up the power cable to the link connector of the VCO :open_mouth:. I was afraid I totally fried the VCO, but after switching the ICs (TL074, TL072 and AS3340) with spare parts, it worked again :upside_down_face:. After a while I switch back the original AS3340 IC and I was glad it was still working :-), So I guess only the TL074 and TL072 were damaged.

To be able to hear how it sounds, I connected the VCO and Filter to my Hydrasynth, which has the capability to send out Control Voltages.

I connected “Pitch Out” of the Hydrasynth to the 1V/Oct input of the VCO, the “Mod1” output sends the Envelop1 CV to the Filter Cutoff and the “Mod2” output sends the Envelop2 CV to the VCA0CV.

These are my first steps into modular synths, but I really like it. Next I will build the ADSR module and then it’s time to order some more from Sam’s store

I uploaded a small video to Youtube (which shows my limited keyboard playing capabilities). The Hydrasynth is only sending CV, so all you hear is the VCO and the filter.

? = Elements? Kinda.
Its by Mutable Instruments
Its a Modal Synthesizer.

I really think @lookmumnocomputer should change that design before issuing the oscillator controller. Like make it a 12 pin header which a 10 pin cable cannot be easily forced into. Then obviously people would have to make their own cable or find a 12 conductor cable source (or 12 to 10 for existing VCOs), instead of just buying and using a Eurorack power cable, but making cables isn’t hard.

Yes, you can instruct people to put a spare connector in the link header, but how many people do?

Too many people have fried too many chips already.

I very much agree - while I would now consider myself much more careful - I fried some chips back when I first built it too lol.

When using molex I have used paint pens to distinguish pots from power from audio. That said the most common safety I’ve seen for avoiding catastrophic confusion is to attach a label on an unwired plug and plug it in to fill the tempting empty socket.

Jelly of that hydrasynth. Super jelly.
