I paid someone else to mix this through fiverr. I don’t know that it sounds much different than I would have done it. The track is one I was in love with for the two days I was working on it, but now the ostinato seems squelchier than I thought-and that’s in the stems so I can’t blame the mixing engineer.

Usual suspects. Mini D bass, Drumbrute, Creepy-clear Dr. Who strings from the OB-6, and the squelchfartbot is the Tetra.

Wow-that’s super cool! I like the breathing effect. Very musical use of an uncommon tool!

Makes me think of a respirator or something similar.

Your setup looks cool, like the organ Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo plays on .

Ostinato 18

A relatively short atmospheric track this time, made in Ableton Live while travelling by train in the Netherlands.

Sound sources: Ableton Live’s Punch and Dirty Lead, Triple Cheese synthesizer (HS Gruyere), FB3100 synthesizer (Some Hollow Thing).

thanks! It’s likely going to have to change. my comfort level next to the water heater (and water pipes in general) is going down

connected the bitranger, kosmo, and softpop (more for some interesting CV) for a fun jam session

bitranger > blue sky reverb (just a little) > deep space pulsar

highlights:

might also try strapping a cam to my head next time so I can actually use this stuff proper

made me want another performance filter to run other gear into (like the bitranger)… hmmm…

Sounds like a spaceship made from old fashioned electromechanical telephone exchanges. These are the voyages of the USS Strowger.

In other words, having the appearance of proper BBC 70’s Science Fiction!

Aphex Twin has named multiple songs - “[insert name] is a Twin” and I felt like doing the same… because the fast paced DnB style that lil sidrassi was putting out tonight with some gator clips re configuring the oscillators was just excellent

You guys must have noticed… i love noisey shit… lol

But seriously… do you hear the drum n bass aspect of what I did?
Most of it was natural for the lil sidrassi with some patches - but i touched it a couple times while recording to add stuttering and it ended up really neat

It is ran through an MS-50g Multi-Stomp with only one pedal active - a Loop Delay set very low so as not to do all too much  didn’t need to take away from what was already going on haha.

Definitely hear both the drum-n-bass and Aphex :grinning:

I didn’t think I liked this right away but listening to it in the car a few times has made me pretty happy with it.
This is my first use of the Deckard’s Dream in a track (check that CS-80 detune!) Otherwise, OB-6, Mini-D, Tetra and Drumbrute Impact.

That Deckard’s Dream really does the job, doesn’t it? Sounds wicked - never really heard it in action, just see people posting pictures of the PCBs all the time haha
