Only 19khz?doesn’t seem right, vcv rack defaults to 44.1khz and I can set it up to 192khz.
Cool. I’m still learning the basics of modular synth, took me a good long while to figure out how to use ADSR envelopes. Main thing is to get my sound levels right so I can minimise the hiss. Currently I’m using a 3.5mm patch cable to link front panel line out to a zoom h2n microphone.
All I can think is it was low volume in software to stop the second module from going insane so I turned the gain up high and that made the recording hissy.
When I was experimenting I did at certain points find the sound too harsh and bright, I turned down the gain. Otherwise I’d have used a high or band pass filter. First module does reverb with the echos pitched down. It could be due to the granularity of the module?
Hhmmmm this sounded great through my stereo, but on a laptop you cant hear much of the bass or the background sounds. And I cant remix as it was done live to tape, ah well such is life ha ha!
its totally modular, theres four different patches going on. A vco through a triple splash back, another vco through a throbbing gristle TG3 filter, another filter with a couple of LFO’s modulating it and a LMNC filter being modulated by two LMNC LFO’s. I think!
It sounds to me like if Front 242 scored the Bollywood version of Jaws. You mixed it up some! To my ear though, it’s still more of a loop than a composition-which isn’t a negative criticism mind you. It’s a dynamic and quite unique loop. I’m an old man and I still like some ABABC(A)B.
