Groove reminds me a little of “Makeba” by Jain. Ooh! I should put one of her videos in the “Inspiration” thread.
Hey, this was great. Took a while for my brain to stop trying to decide on a genre, though Also found a music video yesterday, and today YouTube brought up another video with you guys. So I guess you’re now on my heavy rotation?
Another band in which I played but which no longer exists today
with drum box, guitars and french pipe
Punk rock is punk rock in any language and bagpipes will always be cool. What makes that particular bagpipe a french pipe? Lack of drones? And does “Antispeziesistiche” mean this was an animal rights concert? That would be way cool.
This jam really slaps though.
it was not the theme of the evening but our duo who campaign for the animal cause in life and therefore in the texts, for the bagpipes there are as many so that regions in France and other European countries , this one is a 12 inch bagpipe center france, there are mouthpieces or bellows and different sizes for the tone (12 inches to 24 …), and the traditional musical repertoire of each region is very different.
and yes punk is punk all over the world
Ostinato 13

Sound sources:
- Ableton: Bass Groove, Ableton Punch and Dirty Lead
- Korg Wavestation Ex: Deep Sea Dream, Analog Brass, Touch Brass, Vangelis Horn: Pads Pads Pads!
- IK multimedia Uno: Bass P61
again and allways a good track ! (maybe this one a little too short)
Thx. Yep indeed one of the ‘shorter ones’.
Time for bed here in sunny California, but wanted to record what I was working on first. Probably will never become a full track, but it’s a nice little patch:
Really cool dub style!! Extremely relaxed!

Ostinato 15
Made using Ableton Live synced to Logic Audio.
I was inspired by a Shimmer Reverb made in Ableton Live (see: Tech Tip - Creating a Shimmer Verb in Ableton - YouTube) which is used extensively in this track.
Sound sources: Behringer Model D, Korg Wavestation (Touch Brass), Ableton Live: Punch and Dirty Lead, Modal Instruments Skulpt.
Fx: Shimmer reverb made in Ableton Live
Idk what this is but its cool.
I should check here more regularly but I’ve been taken up with study. Music practice and procrastination (I’ll hoover another day, lol)
New song. But better than that, I remember that I made a screenshot of my patch “harkonnen he” and uploaded it here. It’s in this song
I was fiddling about with another custom patch that was too quiet. The virtual patch system on the microkorg makes so much more sense now I’ve done virtual modular patching. As I was fiddling about I noticed a saved patch, one which wasn’t active on the microkorg. I turned off the write protect and saved it.
Now I just have to remember the notes and I can recreate it lol.
You seem to use a rather low sampling rate of what looks like 19kHz. This makes the sound a bit dull because its highest frequencies will be around 8 kHz (you’re missing out on al the high frequencies that make sounds sparkle, so to speak). Any special reason for that?
B.t.w. if you are into VCV-Rack I’d like to encourage you to try the module I made. It is called Vocode-O-Matic. There are 2 versions of it in the library. If you want to know how to use the simple version, have a look at this Vocode-O-Matic tutorial.
