Ha, that is indeed not a good idea. I named a song ‘Tickling’ a long time ago and it got way more downloads than it deserved. Wondering why that was the case I looked at the server log to find out how these people had found my website and my song. Well, you can probably guess what they were looking for. They were looking for some sort of tickling sex reference.

Nice. Have you tried to pan the voices a bit? There is quite a lot of room left in the stereo image of the track.

Ostinato 3

Inspired by classical electronic music (a.o. from K. Schulze).

This track was written using Ableton’s arpeggiator and Punch and Dirty Lead, nothing more, nothing less.

Has anyone noticed I like arpeggiators by now?

Interesting stuff, @heckseven! It has that experimental edge without losing accessibility. What kit did you use?

In general to everyone, I (personally at least) would get a lot from it if we started including a brief overview of the instruments used on a track. If you look, it seems like a lot of the follow up questions are about gear, and it would be cool to know for example what’s circuit bent, or when a track combines Kosmo and Eurorack, or hardware and software synths, when I’m hearing a real 303 vs. a XOXBOX, etc. Feel free to ignore the suggestion, but know that I’m interested if you choose to share!

ah yeah. I updated the comment with the machines used. I sequenced them using the Pyramid and BSP respectively (and maaaybe the DBI’s sequencer). The Pyramid is a newer addition that is just fantastic.

I almost want a gear discussion thread just for this. I run into all sorts of problems that I choose to solve with cables plugged into adapters into cables into adapters into a fire hazard. Would be good to see what kind of fire hazards y’all are working with.

Reminds me quite a bit of Amon Tobin, who is one of my all-time favorite artists, so that’s a huge compliment
