The singer, that is. He’s not an Igorrr band regular afaik, but appears on one track on their latest album. Guitar player is from H.A.H., who made this awesome video a bit back:
Not actually a heavy metal fan. It’s one rock subgenre for which I’ve been persistently unwilling to overcome an age-old prejudice. I did (and still do) enjoy heavy rock, but I developed an early dislike of Black Sabbath’s monotonous take on blues, compared to their contemporaries such as Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. It seems to have turned me against an entire branch of popular rock.
That Igorrr track blew my mind!. It’s like Nightwish decided to go black-metal, progressing into deth-metal first, and went on a weird trip with a NES and some break-beats along the way.
Absolutely fantastic. So I bought all their albums as a result.
haha! thats great! i really love just how insane the mix of instruments and vocal styles are.
They can go from Accordion folk style stuff to blast beat screaming and somehow it all still fits and works rhythmically.
I know its pretty much a given that we all listen to LMNC but i dont have ‘LIVE MEGAMIX PART 1,2 and 3. - LOOK MUM NO BOOTLEG’ on nearly as much as i should do =)
For those missing the good-old-days™ of the DK, check out Jello Biafras current projects. I have seen him with the Guantanamo School of Medicine live and that was a blast! I also saw the remaining DK a couple of years ago in DC and met Jello in the crowd while dancing. He was relaxed about them still playing live the old stuff, even though he is not keen on reissuing the DK music.
Now that triggered me go back to the punk collection, but I will start gently with Fugazi.
