Dubious solicitations

Could it be you buy it and then they message you to see what one you’d like? Backwards way of doing it lol

€41,12 for a CEM3340 seems a bit steep. Especially when the AS3340A is €8,11

:astonished: a CEM is rather around 10/15€ on Thonk for ex
which for a chip is already expensive for me, with 40euros we do more than a complete VCO

Yeah, except i’m in the EU and even though Thonk do a good job in handling the import duties and fees etc (best webshop in UK for sending to EU), on such a small order it would still end up doubling the price on those 3340s.

In the end I just ordered the AS3340As from banzai (where the €41 CEM3340 was from) because they at least are within EU borders so there are no additional fees.

any reason to prefer the CEM over the AS?

To hear CEM tell it, yes.

I’ve used the AS3340A.

My 1st VCO was with a CEM, my 2nd an AS, I saw no difference and therefore did the next 3 or 4 with AS
