Any thoughts on what this is, strange

I picked up ~10 of these boxes from a local auction room.

The auction porter said they came from a lady who did horse physio.

I can’t think how or what they would be used for. there’s a pair of banana jacks on each end which I assume just daisy chanis each module with a DC supply and ground , or AC? … The a select switch and a bunch of pots per row. The metal pads are connected and are aluminum.

I have no clue!

and how would a horse interact with it?
:horse: :stethoscope: ?

there are 13 black ones and a further 2 in IP65 cases… All more or less the same.

selector switch slects a pad per row and the pot feeds the pad .

I was half excpecting nothing in there other than unwired pots, someone was sold some SHAM healing device…

I was half expecting somethign very interesting.

That leave 0% of me expecting this?

There’s got to be an equestrian-adjacent subreddit that might know.

Obviously I am not going to use it for it’s intended purpuous, so not overly fussed. But my curiosity is peaked. I can only think that it provides high frequency AC and the user would rouch the pad whilst grounding to the horse to stimulate musscles ( no not the aquatic ones ).

@lookmumnocomputer , if you think you can adapt these into something , it’s minimal work on the construction side, I can box some up and fire them downto Kent.

Cheers

Rob

A horse organ  to join the owls.

These would make a great base for matrix mixers.

You can easily hook an arduino to them, re(configure) the pads and potentiometers as inputs, and use the as midi controllers.
