In order to achieve a certain capacitance, I need to sum two capacitors. Problem is, the ones that add nicely are different types (ceramic and mylar). Will this be an issue?
In my completely uniformed experience of just using whatever type I have on hand because I’m lazy, capacitors types (not including polarized ones, obviously) don’t make a lick of difference.

Just pay attention to the values and tolerances. If the smaller one’s smaller than the tolerance on the larger one, you might not benefit from bothering with it.
Also, topic title says “film and mylar”, is that an error?

I did mean that whoops, I can’t see how to edit the title.

Pencil icon right after the title. Unless that’s a trust level dependent thing, of course.
