Tornado audio project and radar thing

Been cleaning out a fighter jet panel to fit some noise making stuff inside. having a hard time being creative / creating because of meds. However, am on a lower dose of the zombie meds so am enjoying being edgy and more creative…

Also got a bunch of teflon coated silver wire out to connect everything up, and a random radar signal simulator for a Lynx. Going to make an LED torch out of that one.

I wonder how the sound will change when you switch settings from ‘sea’ to ‘land’ on the control panel of this noise making box, all the others look like the usual stuff

Heh… that has yet to be determined. Would be cool to have an entire Tornado cockpit synth though! Love the quick release fixings, change a module fast!

That looks for all the world like what this yayhoot did to his microwave:

Mehdi pretty much un-debunks it too (meaning: dat shit is real.)

Magnatron, an absolutely amazing bit of kit, but seriously freekin dangerous, even from a materials standpoint. Glad my ‘invisible torch’ is low power… It’ll be turned into something a lot more useful. How about a radar theremin anyone?

Only joking!

I’ve not got the know how anyway… Bloody mental health drugs, they cripple my thinking.

Thanks for that my friend, I have a small valve AM transmitter and a valve receiver… plus an old 9v powered micro AM radio with headphone port. Yet to pluck up the energy to get the valve transmitter to work properly.

I didn’t realise how much I’m hampered by the citalopram I take until I forgot to renew my prescription in time and ended up doing without for a week. My brain started firing on all cylinders, and my sexual potency also increased greatly. On the other hand, the vulnerable family member I care for noticed that I became much more short tempered.

I think being an amiable scatter-brain makes me a much more effective human being, which is a bit of a shame in a way. I quite liked being a grouchy genius.

The same happens to me, I take Mirtazapine, Mintreleq for the mental health. Without this I’m a bright shaking wreck… Thanks for reminding me that practical functionality is the thing, I’m actually functioning better with than without. Heh… grouchy genius. I prefer the phrase grumpy geek.

Citalopram is part of my ‘breakfast of champignon’ (ooh, French!) , missing it makes me a lot more creative (if wild and useless can be considered creative) and a huge pain in the ass to live with.
So let’s all stay on whatever works and take massive support and pride from the fact we’re an amazing gang who do brilliant stuff and have fun doing it. Best to all x

You are indeed a very talented bunch of people, from right around the world, which is amazing enough. I think we kick our own asses (arses for the Brits) too much sometimes to get things done.

Today, I’m going to attempt to put the cheap audio board into the housing. Need some little stand offs, but may end up just 3D printing something.

I find the diagram for bending this board just a little too symbolic, and have trouble actually applying it to the hardware. Did spot a nice little diagram with a photo of the board someone marked up, but forgot where it is.

if anyone needs someone to talk to or vent to we are here . like a family we may be a bit dysfunctional but we are here for each other . so drop a line on the " hows everyone holding up " thread and let us know what is up if you need to or just to say hi .
