Bit late to the party on this one. Cheers for this anyway.
Ray Marston did a couple of articles on ota opamp’s.
Understanding and using ‘ota’ op-amp ics.
There are two parts from April and May 2003.
Part one is a good write up about the CA3080

electricdruid has a good article about ota circuits too.
Shows a basic CA3080 circuit as well as an LM13700 one.
At the time of writing he has the AS3080 chips. A direct replacement for the CA part.
This is probably old hat for a lot of people here.
I thought I’d add to the information stash anyway, as it might help newcomers.
