Seeking electro Tom sounds

In:

Raga Malkauns by Charanjit Singh near the start there’s a tiny blippy Tom roll and man it drives me wild - does anyone have any idea if there is a classic module or setup that gets this sound? It feels like maybe an 808, but such short blippy sounds!
