PCB fabrication

Again, will diagnose myself later this evening, just wanted to confirm that others aren’t seeing the same. Appreciate all of you.

Hey, I recognize that panel…

BINGO!

I don’t know what it has to do with anything, but those Gerber files were intended for fabrication with aluminum, not FR-4, so they lack back copper and mask layers. I generated “normal” Gerbers that do have the back copper and mask layers and uploaded that and:

Weird. But that’s the issue, apparently. I’ve pushed the new Gerbers to the GitLab repo, they’re in the Hardware/Panel/ao_audio_mixer_panel_Gerbers folder.

(And I checked what happens if you request aluminum, and with either the original or the new Gerbers they do still upcharge for black, but not for white. Ha, white panels rule! With FR4 and original Gerbers they upcharge even more ($31.50) for colors other than green, white, or black, but not with the new Gerbers. WEIRD.)

Thank you for the quick turnaround and continued follow through. That fixed everything and the order was placed as expected.

I dunno if it’s recent but i just noticed an unassuming “DFM Check” button in JLCPCB’s 3D viewer, after you upload a Gerber:

When you click it, you can run a lot of tests about potential Design For Manufacturability issues, with very clear explanations and animated graphics what they are about. It’s very useful, be sure to try it out.

Since you were asking about the board in the screenshots, i’m about to send them this bad boy to print, while not synths related it will let me experiment with code that will make it into my stuff. Thanks for asking.

Big the Cat for scale.
