I need help generating the BOM and placement file from an Eagle project.
I intend to fabricate the PCB at JLCPCB.
There’s a tutorial on JLCPCB’s website on doing (using “the ULP way”) that but the thing is, when I generate the BOM and placement file, there are many parts missing in the exported files.
Could anyone help?
I made good experiences with KiCad. JLCPCB orders work perfect, and KiCad can import Eagle projects. I don’t know Eagle, but KiCad offers consistency and design rule checks. Perhaps these might give a hint.

You can import the brd into kicad and then use the jlc fabrication plugins to build the assembly files. It’s a good idea to build the gerber in eagle though, and use the 2 production files made in kicad. I had problems with gerbers made via importing (although I cant remember if it was eagle or another CAD suite I’d imported from)
You may find that the placement of the components is shifted way off the board, but the engineers at jlc will fix that for you.
