I did end up building it and it works fine, but it is a bit lacking? It’s a very simple build so worth a try to see if it suits your needs perhaps.

it’s me again. I have sort of succesfully build it but i’m not to sure if i wired things correctly and if it’s working the way it’s supposed to. What exactly is the switch supposed to do?
Is the Volume affecting the clean sound as well as the filter signal?
The switch switches the filter response from lowpass to highpass. It seems that the stripboard layout follows a modification of the circuit originally proposed by Tim Escobedo which did not have the switch. See the discussion here.
As far as I can see, there is no clean guitar (or otherwise) signal in the circuit. Everything goes through the filter.
