Hey y’all, a friend sent me a link to this thread and I’m excited to see y’all talking about yo-yos and synths. On that topic, I have a really old video with Kyle Machulis (the “teledildonics guy”) about a system he created for controlling sound with a yo-yo. It’s not a synthesizer-in-a-yoyo, but it’s still pretty cool.

One more note, and I’m really not trying to pitch y’all or anything, but I have two yo-yo/synth shirt designs up on my Threadless. These were designs I commissioned for the PopCast video at the top of this thread, but they were so cool I had to make shirts with them too.

@d42kn355 would single turn trimpots work instead of chonky pots?
i guess one half could be a battery fed through a hollow axle and hard wired to the board?

would be nice to preserve the function of both yoyo and synth. =)
